Beynon defines Thanksgiving Week as the period spanning November 25 to December 1.<\/p>\n<p>That forecast implies year-over-year growth of 11%, and while that $4.5 billion will likely include other sports, namely basketball, football \u2014 led by the NFL \u2014 will do the heavy lifting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p>Fu\u00dfball <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/regulated-nfl-bets-could-reach-35b-this-year-says-aga\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is the most wagered-on sport<\/a> in the US and this Thanksgiving, a record 38 states and Washington, DC will permit some form of sports betting. Beynon estimates betting volumes will surge 15% this week compared to last year and the NFL is obliging bettors. There are three games on Thanksgiving, and the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday. That\u2019s followed by the usual Sunday slate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>College football is helping, too. There are games throughout the week, including at least one on Thanksgiving and more than a dozen the next day.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Thanksgiving_Football_Could_Benefit_These_Operators\"><\/span>Thanksgiving Football Could Benefit These Operators<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Increased levels of Thanksgiving Week wagering should benefit the gaming industry in a broad sense, but operator-level advantages won\u2019t be uniform.<\/p>\n<p>Flutter Entertainment\u2019s FanDuel (NYSE: FLUT) and DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/fanduel-bullishness-boost-draftkings-too-say-analysts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">are the largest sportsbook<\/a> companies by market share, and that\u2019s unlikely to change anytime soon, but Beynon sees smaller competitors gaining momentum this week. He said Bally\u2019s (NYSE: BALY), Caesars Sportsbook, and Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) should see the largest year-over-year Thanksgiving Week hold expansion.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"main-blockquote\">\n<p>BetMGM is coming off two weeks of above-average hold of 11%+, which could represent significant upside should this trend persist,\u201d Beynon wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He added that, based on New York November data through November 18, DraftKings and Caesars Sportsbook appeared to be making market share gains. Thanksgiving contributes to elevated football betting in another way, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Each of that day\u2019s three games are viewed by bettors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/circa-survivor-commandeers-carnage-missed-entry-loom-large-in-week-12\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">as primetime affairs<\/a> comparable to \u201cMonday Night Football,\u201d and bettors are more inclined to invest in such games.
