The company also runs iGaming in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Indianans and anyone visiting the state aged 21 and older can now download the Fanatics Sportsbook app and begin betting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"p1\">The company\u2019s sportsbook in Indiana features all of the product\u2019s amenities, including the \u201cDiscover\u201d feed that displays betting data and statistical insights. Indiana Fanatics bettors will also receive FanCash \u2014 up to 5% of their wager \u2014 that can be used for bonus bets or merchandise at Fanatics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Fanatics Sportsbook launch in Indiana is through a partnership with Penn Entertainment and the company\u2019s Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sports_Betting_Focus\"><\/span><b>Sports Betting Focus<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fanatics was founded in 2011 by Michael Rubin. The company is today the leader in licensed sportswear for professional and college teams. Rubin is now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/fanatics-founder-michael-rubin-paid-50m-for-hamptons-home\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wildly rich<\/a>, with <i>Forbes <\/i>estimating his net worth around $11.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Rubin, who\u2019s just 51 years old, isn\u2019t content with his Fanatics empire, and is instead seeking to overhaul the American manufacturer and retailer into a sports betting behemoth. Unfazed to enter a market dominated by DraftKings and FanDuel, Rubin is committed to evolving Fanatics into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/connecticut-lottery-picks-fanatics-as-next-sportsbook-partner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sportsbook front-runner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Rubin took a major step toward accomplishing that goal by acquiring PointsBet in May of 2023 for $225 million. PointsBet platforms have since been transitioning to Fanatics Sportsbooks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"p1\">The PointsBet takeover gave Fanatics the seventh-largest U.S. sportsbook and almost immediate access \u2014 pending state regulatory approvals \u2014 to 12 states where Fanatics wasn\u2019t licensed for sports gambling. Fanatics and PointsBet had initially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/fanatics-buying-pointsbet-usa-for-150-million-in-cash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">agreed to a $150 million all-cash deal<\/a>. But after DraftKings pitched a nonbinding offer of $195 million, Rubin upped the ante to $225 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">As state regulators weighed the licensing movement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/fanatics-sportsbook-live-virginia-pointsbet-accounts-migrated\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">from PointsBet to Fanatics<\/a>, PointsBet sportsbooks were rebranded to \u201cPointsBet, a Fanatics Experience.\u201d The conversion of Indiana leaves just one state to go \u2014 Kansas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fanatics Sportsbooks are active via retail and\/or online in Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fanatics has 13 retail locations, including sportsbooks outside Progressive Field, home of MLB\u2019s Cleveland Indians, and Nationwide Arena, home of the NHL\u2019s Columbus Blue Jackets. Fanatics also operates the only in-stadium NFL sportsbook at FedExField, home of the Commanders, in Landover, Md.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Merch_Layoff\"><\/span><b>Merch Layoff<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Indiana debut of the Fanatics Sportsbook comes as the company\u2019s merchandise division announced layoffs at its facilities in Tampa and Easton, Pa. The Fanatics Commercial confirmed that more than 100 people, including vice presidents, directors, and managers, were among those on the chopping block.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The job cuts account for less than 1% of the Fanatics Holdings workforce. The position reductions are related to new Fanatics Commerce CEO Andrew Low Ah Kee\u2019s vision for the future of the apparel division.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"main-blockquote\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>As we continue to evolve from a merchandise company into a global digital sports platform, our organizational structure should naturally transition alongside it.
