Woods\u2019 name is on 2.1% of all Masters tickets, while Mickelson accounts for 1.4% of the bets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Woods and Mickelson are both in BetMGM\u2019s top 20 in terms of tickets. They have each gained more bets than such notables as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/hideki-matsuyama-masters-win-a-major-victory-for-oddsmakers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">defending champion Hideki Matsuyama<\/a>, Bryson DeChambeau, and 2018 Masters winner Patrick Reed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bets_Welcomed\"><\/span><b>Bets Welcomed<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Despite the robust betting on Woods and Mickelson for the 2022 Masters, oddsmakers would love more money on them. That\u2019s because the expert bookmakers feel there\u2019s little chance either don another green jacket next month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"p1\">To entice such bets, BetMGM has lengthened Woods\u2019 line from 33\/1 to 66\/1. That line implies a winning chance of 1.49 percent. A winning $100 bet would net $6,600. Mickelson is even longer at 125\/1, or a 0.79 percent chance. A winning $100 bet would win $12,500, plus the $100 back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">BetMGM and other legal US sportsbooks will only make a buck on Woods and Mickelson if they tee it up at Augusta National. Otherwise, such bets will be returned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Woods continues to recover from severe injuries he sustained during his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/tiger-woods-future-unknown-following-car-crash-odds-removed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">February 2021 single-vehicle accident<\/a> in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Reports surfaced this week, albeit to celebrity magazine <i>People<\/i>, that Tiger is focusing on returning for the Masters \u2014 but the 2023 tournament, not next month\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Woods did play with his son Charlie during last December\u2019s PNC Championship, an unofficial PGA Tour event that allows Tour players to partner with their child or parent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mickelson announced a leave of absence in February after he received much backlash for his explosive allegations against the PGA Tour. The remarks were in relation to the controversy surrounding recent efforts led by World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman to form a Saudi-backed golf league.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The PGA Tour does not comment publicly on disciplinary actions, so it\u2019s unknown if Mickelson has been suspended. Mickelson last month said he was \u201cdeeply sorry\u201d and announced he would be stepping back from public life to \u201cself-reflect and learn.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Masters_Front-Runners\"><\/span><b>Masters Front-Runners<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">As for the contenders, world No. 1 Jon Rahm is the consensus favorite. BetMGM has him at 9\/1. The Spaniard is responsible for 4.6% of the BetMGM tickets.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"p1\">World No. 2 Collin Morikawa has been a popular bet at BetMGM. The California native leads the way in action with nearly 7% of the tickets.
